Preserve the Past. Inspire the Future
Located in the beautifully restored 1927 Fire Station No. 3, the Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum honors our city’s firefighters — their courage, innovation, and lifelong commitment to keeping Fort Lauderdale safe.
Nestled in the Sailboat Bend Historic District along the New River, this Mediterranean Revival firehouse — designed by architect Francis Abreu — has transformed from a working station into a living museum dedicated to Fort Lauderdale’s firefighting legacy.
Here, history lovers, families, and future firefighters can explore immersive exhibits, vintage apparatus, and stories that bring our firefighting heritage to life.
