At the Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum, our fire safety education programs bring history to life. We honor the city’s firefighters by sharing lessons of courage, preparedness, and teamwork with the next generation.

Through engaging, age-appropriate activities, students and families learn essential fire safety habits, emergency awareness, and the heritage that shaped Fort Lauderdale—lessons they’ll carry for life.

Field Trips & Group Visits

A visit to the historic 1927 Fire Station No. 3 offers a hands-on learning experience that connects fire safety, local history, and community service.

Student Service & Volunteer Opportunities

The Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum offers students and community members the chance to earn service hours while preserving history.

Volunteer Opportunities:

All volunteers receive verified documentation and mentorship from museum staff and retired firefighters.
