Discover a Living Legacy

Admission to the Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum is always free, thanks to the generosity of our community and volunteers. During open-house weekends, guests can meet retired firefighters, see live demonstrations, and take photos beside the restored 1922 American LaFrance engine.

Each visit helps preserve Fort Lauderdale’s historic Fire Station No. 3 and honors the firefighters who served our city — keeping their stories of courage and service alive for future generations.

The museum is open twice monthly for free community admission and available year-round for private group tours.

Admission Details

Admission to the Fort Lauderdale Fire and Safety Museum is always free for individuals and families, thanks to the generosity of our community and volunteers. Visitors can explore the museum during open-house weekends or schedule a private group tour year-round.

For schools, scout troops, and community organizations, a small program fee supports our guided fire-safety education programs led by trained volunteers. Each visit helps preserve Fort Lauderdale’s historic Fire Station No. 3 and ensures that future generations can learn from its legacy of service.

Reservations are required for all private and group visits. To schedule your visit, please request a tour or contact info@fortlauderdalefiremuseum.org for availability.

Parking

  • Free parking is available behind the museum and along Las Olas Blvd.
  • Bus and group parking are available with scheduled tours.

Accessibility

Our restored 1927 firehouse welcomes visitors of all abilities. Entrances and restrooms are wheelchair-accessible, and service animals are permitted. An accessible drop-off area is located at the front entrance, with designated handicapped parking onsite.

During demonstrations, bells and sirens may be loud — please share any sensory sensitivities with your guide before your visit.
